Camerata Figarella is a space for exchange, creation and performance of scholar and traditional music in Corsica. It is based in the village of Figarella, in the north of the island: a laboratory for research and creation exploring the connexions between oral and written musical traditions. Staging a chjama è rispondi between sacred and secular music, Camerata Figarella brings together, in an ensemble of variable size, early and classical music performers and specialists in traditional music. The ensemble performs throughout Europe and in 2026 releases its first album, "Cantà in cumpagnia", on the Carpediemrecords label, with William Dongois, Enea Sorini, Stefan Legée, Fausto & Ange Sierakowski and traditional singers Michele Paoli, Jean Etienne Langianni and Daniel Gonet. Alongside this, Camerata Figarella is committed to Corsica through educational activities and an annual Festival at the end of September.
