Carlo Vistoli
A polished, nostalgic baroque artist.
A guitarist and pianist by training, Carlo Vistoli made his stage debut in 2012 in Purcell’s Dido & Aeneas. His awards include the Audience and Farinelli Prizes at the Naples Baroque Singing competition and First Prize for baroque performance at the Renata Tebaldi Competition. Operatic parts include Orfeo (Orfeo ed Euridice) for the Komische Oper Berlin, Opera di Roma and Palau de les Arts of Valencia), Tolomeo (Giulio Cesare in Egitto) at the Theatre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, and Giulio Cesare (title role) at Monaco Opera, Wiener Staatsoper and Opernhaus Zürich, Ruggiero (Alcina) for Maggio Fiorentino, Nerone (L'incoronazione di Poppea) and Farnace (Mitridate) for Berlin Staatsoper. Recent performances include Rinaldo on tour and a house debut as Arsace (Partenope) for San Francisco Opera. 2024/25 highlights include concert tour for the promotion of his new album (Vivaldi's Sacro furore). Athamas (Semele) in Paris and London Royal Ballet and Opera, Ruggiero for Opera di Roma and the world premiere of Il nome della rosa by Francesco Filidei at Teatro La Scala. In 2026 he will sing the title role in Rossini’s Tancredi in a new production in Rome conducted by Michele Mariotti.
