Who says brainpower and headbanging don't mix? Cevret is a modern metal band from Zurich, Switzerland, founded in 2019 by guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, Cev. What began as a solo studio project featured acclaimed guest vocalists including Andy Cizek (Monuments) and Daniël de Jongh (Textures). But because writing riffs alone doesn't start a mosh pit, the project evolved into a full live band featuring drummer Benji Zweifel (ex-Nubia), vocalist Andy Hunziker (ex-Irony of Fate, Hvtnward), and guitarist Buri Caliskan (Atropas). In 2024, Cevret released the concept EP Sensus, exploring the gradual loss of humanity's senses alongside themes of moral and societal decay. Produced by MoMetalProductions and mastered at Jens Bogren's Fascination Street Studio in Sweden, the release combines hard-hitting rhythms, heavy riffs, and strong melodic lines into a technically driven yet emotionally charged sound. Since taking their music to the stage, Cevret has appeared at festivals including Wacken Open Air, Greenfield, and Euroblast, continuing to establish themselves as one of Switzerland's rising modern metal bands.
