Chaika

Born and raised on the small island of Curaçao, Chaika made her first upload to Soundcloud in 2015 with the goal to focus on her solo career after singing back up in a local reggae band. Mostly doing cover songs, Chaika was thriving to drop her own music. Chaika released her first debut single “Abo Mi Ke” in 2016 making that the most controversial song of the year. Being the only female performing artist in the Urban scene at that time, she conquered the hearts of thousands, being a self-love and body positivity advocate. The way she experiments with sounds, she developed the craft of creating unique productions. Unlocking sweet and sexy lyrics and elements paired with candy coated beats, making it all relatable and mostly enjoyable for fans. Following her next release “Beleng” that same year, Chaika reached the local radio charts for the second time at #1. She released songs like “Ora bo ke’ and “Un momento” in collaboration with ‘Squad’. Throughout her career she has had multiple collaborations with big names in the Dutch Urban scene like Adje, Kempi, and Bizzey. Before the pandemic she released “Pam Pam” featuring Lava, and having it go viral during lockdown in Indonesia. Having the time to come back to her true self during the difficult times Covid has brought on us, Chaika has focussed on bettering herself and her crafts and is busy working on her upcoming album “PISCES”.
