CHEAPEDITS is the musical project of Achilleas, a lifelong explorer of electronic music whose roots stretch through Italo disco, house, early techno and decades of club culture. Created in 2018 as a space without fixed stylistic boundaries, CHEAPEDITS moves between downtempo, Balearic atmospheres, space disco, cosmic electronics and indie dance — music equally at home under a Mediterranean sunset, on a late-night dancefloor or somewhere much further out. The project found an early home with Kenneth Bager’s Music For Dreams, beginning with the Porta Remunda EP, which also featured a remix by Bager himself. Further releases have appeared on Last Day, Nuit Électrique, Blue Bailando, Cosmika and The Age of Libra, alongside appearances on compilations including Copenhagen and Balearic Biscuits. CHEAPEDITS has received support from BBC Radio, NTS, The Lot Radio and Ibiza Sonica. Achilleas has also hosted shows through Music For Dreams and holds a residency at Onassis Stegi. Atmospheric yet rhythmic, expansive yet intimate, CHEAPEDITS is less interested in genre than in what happens between genres — where Balearic warmth, cosmic psychedelia, electronic experimentation and the pulse of the dancefloor collide. The destination remains open. That freedom is the point.
