CHOCOS

CHOCOS is an indie jazz trio formed by Amsterdam-based musicians Pedro Nobre (NAUSYQA , Neon River,) on drums, Matteo Mazzù (Neon River, WAAN) on the electric bass and Miguel Valente (NAUSYQA, Y.O.P.E.) on the alto saxophone. Together, they write and perform music that seeks to awaken the most joyful and unfiltered emotions. While playing their heart out, the trio approaches music from a place of love and discovery, seamlessly moving through different genres, combining the energetic flow of alternative rock with the nonchalant rhythms of indie and the freedom of jazz-like improvisations. Their live shows are the ultimate canvas to experience the always exciting and unique interactions between the musicians.  “Are U Happy?” celebrates the discographic debut from the Portuguese-originated group. Joining them and elevating the whole experience are Eduardo Cardinho on the vibraphone, João Mortágua on the alto saxophone, Iúri Oliveira on percussion, Chaerin Im on the synthesizers, and Pedro Ferreira on the co-production, mixing, and mastering. The 8-track LP is scheduled to be released on DOX Records on the 1st of May, 2026.
