Cloud Types blends gothic post-rock, indie, and abstract noise into moody, autobiographical soundscapes. Formed in 2024 by Sean Brooks (formerly of longstanding psych-rock project, Minmae) following a decade-long hiatus, the band emerged from personal loss and creative resurgence. Influenced by artists like The Velvet Underground, The Cure, Joy Division, Aldous Harding, Brian Eno, Scott Walker, and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Cloud Types evokes melancholic textures, poetic lyricism, and a quietly psychedelic shimmer.
