An underground world act from the local scene.
Cordel is born of the celebration of the Portuguese culture. A deep dip in the roots of Portuguese music and its Portuguese-speaking ramifications. Without labels or packages the group explores traditional melodies such as chula, vira, fado song and even the popular march with the rhythms of the African and Brazilian latitudes. In the lyrics, they recover the popular poetry of twine literature. At a time when we import musical influences, Cordel, in an almost revolutionary attitude, or at least nonconformist, contradicts tendencies to give us the essentials of our roots, reinventing them.
