Country Risqué- "America's Riskiest Country Band", helmed by singer-songwriters Miles Gordon and Daniel Bromfield, lives by a direct and pure mission statement: “classic honky-tonk, modern values.” The songwriters met in Eugene, Oregon in 2012 and upon finding themselves both in San Francisco, recruited Richard Moog (lead guitar) and Tomas Georgiou (drums) to round out the band. Their first official single is due out December 1, 2023 with their debut album to be released in early 2024 on Rocks in Your Head Records. Defined by the coffee-and-chocolate contrast of Miles Gordon’s rich, formally trained vocals and romantic lyrics with Bromfield’s dark humor and deadpan singing style, Country Risqué explores queer love and latter-day disillusionment in the language of classic tear-in-my-beer honky-tonk music.
