An underground house artist.
Cristian Croce is a prominent name in the Italian clubbing scene for almost two decades. Throughout his ongoing career, he has been always fueled by an authentic passion, collecting thousands of vinyl and playing in dozens of clubs, in Italy and abroad. In Milan, he was a DJ resident at the legendary Plastic, Gasoline, and Dude Club, all venues where his party Discosafari has been staged over the years. From the Disco roots with which he made himself known, he has followed a unique artistic path evolving technique, talent, and musical contaminations. In his sets house and electronics blend with mixtures "from afro to techno". The first record he bought? "Sign of the Times," by Prince. The last one? You haven't heard it yet. He had been part of the producing and DJ duo The Barking Dogs (Optimo Trax, Gomma, Panini By Rush Hour, Mad on the Moon) touring in Japan and Brazil and of Boot & Tax (Optimo Trax, Fabric 77 by Erol Alkan, Bargrooves Deeper 4.0 by Defected, Mule Musiq/Endless Flight, Soul Clap Records) touring all over Europe. Today Cristian curates his own label Ruvido Records, with the mission to persecute an eclectic curatorial style by setting the single rule of drawing in and releasing music that feels raw, heartfelt, and viscerally groovy. While mostly oriented to the dancefloor, Ruvido’s taste for psychedelics and incorporation of different cultural influences make it a shifty sonic kaleidoscope.
