Cub & Wolf of Malmø, Sweden started out as a loose collective of people sorrounding Mattias Larsson of Grant Creon and Linus Lindvall of Golden Kanine in the making of the first record “S/T”. The sound echoed of rehearsal rooms, lo-fi recordings and late nights. For the second album “How to keep caring” the guys took on a fuzzier and more direct approach to the recordings that brought out the noise, energy and live feel of the music. Wilhelm Strandberg and Ola Wirling of Stars in Coma joined up in 2018 & recorded & released a triptych of EPs whose origins began at the very beginning of the band. At this time Mattias Larsson chose to leave the band. The following album “A Handful of Burning Suns” was recorded, released and toured, moving towards a more powerful, shoegazey sound. Now the band is touring and supporting their upcoming fourth album “They were honest mistakes” which combines the two genres, both shoegaze and folk/country, complementing both the harsh and the subtle. ❤️
