Dan Whitaker

Dan Whitaker is a songwriter from Chicago who now lives outside Austin, Texas. He’s been creating and performing music nearly all his life, starting when he was eighteen in the 1980s. Whitaker’s country music is shot through with blues, jazz, and folk, a freewheeling style that takes you on an insightful journey through life’s joys and heartaches. As a recording artist he has created many albums featuring his original songs noted for their raw authenticity and craftsmanship. Onstage, you can find him either playing solo with his acoustic guitar and trusty harmonicas or with his top-notch 4-piece honky-tonk band.
