An underground indie folk artist.
Daphne Gale is a Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter. Raised in the Bronx and shaped by time spent in France and working on a farm in Vermont, her music moves between the pastoral and the metropolitan, the intimate and the expansive. With a background in opera and a grounding in folk tradition, she brings a rare emotional precision to both recording and live performance. She has performed at venues including the Troubadour (Los Angeles), Le Poisson Rouge (New York), Telluride (Bluegrass Festival), and has collaborated with artists across the pop-folk-indie landscape (Naomi Scott, Noah Kahan, Lucy Clearwater, Francisco Martin, Charlie Hickey). She has written this bio. She hopes it sounded professional. She really tried.
Daphne Gale plays an intimate blend of indie folk, jazz, and acoustic pop defined by her smoky vocals and sophisticated songwriting.
Daphne Gale is based between New York and Berlin.
