Darksoft is a one-person dream pop and shoegaze project, often backed by a live band for shows. Blending lush melodies, 80s/90s alternative rock textures, and introspective lyrics, the project has released conceptual albums exploring universal truths and existential themes since 2018. Darksoft's latest album, Everydayness (2026), explores the cyclical nature of everyday life and finding beauty in the mundane. His other recent albums, Rationalism (2025), Relativism (2024), and Grayscale (2023), are released with Spirit Goth records. Beigeification (2023), released under his imprint Look Up Records, is a postmodern dose of beigey moods that use "thought-terminating cliches" to match the disillusionment of our age. Previous records Cryo (2022), Meltdown (2020), and Brain (2018) blend digital futurism and watery introspection. Over the years, Darksoft has toured the US and received national radio attention, charting on both NACC and Sub-Modern Charts. Darksoft is originally from Seattle and is now based in Portland, Maine. Darksoft also produces his own music videos using vintage cameras and practical effects, extending the project's DIY aesthetic into a broader multimedia experience. Watch on YouTube.
