A member of the DAZED 100 Class of 2023, Darkwah (they/them) is a recording and performing artist with a goal: Empowerment, Community and Energy. Pulling rap influence from ODB, Lil Kim and early Will Smith as well as merging the many musical worlds they dive into, their sound is uniquely theirs, UNAPOLOGETICALLY BLACK AND QUEER and dares to amalgamate worlds and influences that may not typically be expected together. Whether they are lighting up the stage with a dance interval before the next act or taking a moment to educate, uplift and entertain those in the crowd while platforming and amplifying the voices of historically marginalized communities, Darkwah is sure to not only give but BE the energy in the space!
