David Bailis

DAVID BAILIS is a multi-talented musician based in NYC best known for his skills as a guitarist and bassist. Equally accomplished as a performer, composer and producer David has showcased his musical talents throughout the world, performing to sold out crowds at a range of venues from Carnegie Hall to Golden Gate Park. David leads the dynamic jazz trio DB3 whose debut album ‘Firebrand’ (Ropeadope Records) was featured on numerous outlets including Spotify’s curated jazz playlist- ‘The State of Jazz’ David has been featured in a wide range of publications including BassPlayer Magazine and the New York Times. In addition to touring as a guitarist for numerous artists, David was a member of the renowned electro funk band Pimps of Joytime for over a decade. He was the swiss army knife of the band handling electric bass, guitar, keyboards, background vocals and sampler/electronics. David co-leads the wildly funky and creative band Walk Talk along with Mayteana Morales. They have toured extensively throughout the US and released their debut album ‘Hello Hello’ in 2021. David currently is the musical director and guitarist for Sierra Leone hiphop superstar Bajah & the Dry Eye Crew. In 2017, David launched the blog and podcast- Tourganic, which focuses on maintaining a healthy lifestyle on the road as a vegan, athlete and musician. David is also a marathon runner and triathlete and keeps a rigorous training schedule which he documents for his fans on his instagram
