A stylish, queer electronic artist.
Daya Betty is a drag performer best known for competing on Season 14 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Hailing from Springfield, Missouri, she’s a member of the extended Haus of Methyd, sharing drag family ties with fellow Season 12 queen Crystal Methyd. Daya quickly became known for her tall, punk-inspired aesthetic, bold eye makeup, and edgy fashion. Often blending 80s glam with gritty, alternative vibes. Though she was the first queen eliminated in Season 14, she made a dramatic return and clawed her way to the Top 5, becoming one of the season’s most talked-about competitors for her sharp tongue, competitive spirit, and unapologetic attitude. Living with Type 1 Diabetes, Daya Betty also uses her platform to raise awareness about chronic illness in the queer community, cleverly tying it into her drag name (“Daya” as a play on “diabetes”). Whether you love her villain arc or her fashion risks, Daya Betty brings an unmistakable energy to every stage she steps on—proof that you can’t keep a punk princess down for long
Daya Betty creates high-energy electronic and dance-pop music, often incorporating punk and alternative influences into her sound and visual aesthetic.
