An underground house artist.
Derek Avari has been shaping electronic music since the early 1990s. His first productions appeared on Suck Me Plasma, an imprint of Frankfurt’s influential Music Research family, placing him close to Germany’s formative techno and trance movement. Over more than three decades, he has built a diverse catalogue of original releases, remixes and compilation appearances—working across house, trance and the wider spectrum of electronic dance music. In 2008, he founded Sound of Now Music & Publishing, followed by the house-focused Elephants & Aliens Recordings in 2015. Despite his wide-ranging musical background, Derek’s creative direction remains unmistakable: fresh, groove-driven house music with a distinctive flavor.
