Tracks5
With closed eyes and an open heart, Swiss guitarist & composer Dimitri Howald has established himself as one of the country’s most innovative young musicians. Fusing contemporary jazz melody and harmony with nostalgic drum machines and echoes of Brazilian music, his third solo album Southern Return was released in 2024 on XJAZZ! Music. He presents this music live in renowned clubs and festivals with his current group Dimitri Howald & The Amnis Band as a quartet or as an extended band including a string trio (swiss radio & television, 2025). He also performs in other groups, composes, and is active as a sideman in various projects with renowned musicians and bands. The list of clubs, festivals, and musicians he has worked with is correspondingly long and diverse. More info on dimitrihowald.com Dimitri Howald
