Shaun D, born and raised in The Hague, was introduced to bubbling music at a young age by his Caribbean mother and Dutch father. His passion for the genre led him to create mixes with friends using MadTracker and FastTracker, which he shared on platforms like Hyves, PP2G, Fiestainfo, and YouTube. Inspired by pioneers like Chuckie and nAffie, Shaun gained recognition with tracks like "Pull Up," "Boeke," and "A Millie (Bubbling remix)." With the support of DJ Madstyle, Shaun began DJing at Huis van Oranje (HVO), a key milestone in his career. He, along with his cousin Master D, pioneered the fusion of bubbling with house music, creating the genre known as bubbling house. This innovative sound resonated with the youth and left a lasting impact on the Dutch music scene. Shaun's dedication earned him spots at notable events like Bubbling Beats @ Hollywood Music Hall, Nope is Dope, Sexy Motherfucker, Sexybag, and 911 (Hemkade Zaandam) . His international reach expanded with tracks like "It's About to Go Down" and "Don Dadda" on Mad Decent, and "Dat A$$" on Selegna Records by Munchi. Shaun D's story is one of humble beginnings, driven by passion and perseverance, leading to a lasting influence in the bubbling scene and beyond.
