Emerging from the creative soil of Utrecht, Donnali Nova crafts a sound rooted in melancholic indie-folk. Her music offers an intimate escape built on introspection and genuine connection. Donnali Nova is a musician who writes with her heart on her sleeve. Her lyrics are deeply narrative and powerfully metaphorical, brought to life by her vulnerable and soothing voice. Her poetic words are carried on a bed of soft, melancholic guitar parts, elevated by her band featuring keys, fretless bass, and drums, subtly enriched by occasional strings and additional guitar. Her music has the power to touch hearts; it calls for a moment of reflection, but above all, she offers the listener a getaway from the hectic pace of everyday life. A glimpse of her biggest inspirations: Lizzy McAlpine, Madison Cunningham, Jacob Alon, Adrianne Lenker, Billie Marten, Lucy Rose, Emma Harner, Flyte, Searows, Joni Mitchell, Douwe Bob, and many more...
