Downey Chase

downey chase was a name i found on a headstone in a massachusetts cemetery from the 1800s. i thought it would be a good name for a folk singer. when i went back to find it years later, the stone wasn't there anymore. my friend who is good at history stuff looked through a bunch of archives and found no record of anyone with that name ever being buried there or living in massachusetts at all. i moved across the country and started using the name to release music. so now i live in colorado and write songs in a little room in my house. my dog mikey is usually around. sometimes you can hear him in the recordings. sometimes you can hear birds, chimes, rain, or wind outside. my songs are about things i think about or experience. my second album "a room in motion" is out now. more songs coming soon. i'm also in a band called The Brazen Youth
