An underground, nostalgic indie pop artist.
Early Internet is an American indie-pop band created by LA turned Seattle artist, Dean Stafford. The debut album, 2021’s ‘You’re Just In Time To Miss Everything,’ captured the attention of outlets like KEXP who dubbed it ”...a sharp set of nostalgic, melancholic, dreamy indie-pop”. The single “Blankets” ranked #133 on the NACC Radio 200 Chart. In 2024 Early Internet returned with ‘Ruminator;’ a follow-up reminiscent of the moody maritime layers surrounding the Pacific Northwest where the artist lives. The music video for “7 Sided Room” was directed by cult filmmaker, Mark Borchardt from the documentary “American Movie”. The band has played legendary venues like The Showbox in Seattle, The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, and The Lodge Room in Los Angeles. Previous festivals include the 25th Anniversary of Capitol Hill Block Party (feat. MUNA, Goth Babe, Momma, and more). Early Internet's new single “The Battle” is out 10/27 with support shows kicking off in Seattle and Brooklyn.
