Relocating from New York City to the San Francisco Bay Area, musician and physician Eki Shola uses her music as a conduit for healing. A vocalist and pianist, Eki Shola’s music transcends genre, as she seamlessly draws from jazz fusion, classical, and world music to create a sonic landscape all her own. Her music has been described as “inimitable” and “…sound art to be used to trigger thought and encourage love and beauty through rhythm and unique composition." Eki Shola has released five albums. She has performed in the NPR Tiny Desk contest series and has opened for artists including Bebel Gilberto, Habib Koité, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Kitaro, DakhaBrakha and more.
