A nostalgic latin artist.
Who is El Palmas? Born in Caracas in 1977 and based in Barcelona since the early 2000s, Maurice Aymard is known in the music world by the pseudonym El Palmas. He founded and runs the record label El Palmas Music, dedicated to reviving Venezuelan popular music and contemporary releases. His career also includes renowned work as a music curator. In his persistent editing work, Maurice rescues musical gems from past decades and also produces new music. His first self-published album, Between Stars, is house-oriented and released in 2013. He signed it as Maurice Aymard. What "La Baja" Is About "La Baja" fits perfectly with El Palmas' aesthetic, which fuses social, tropical, and festive elements. The use of classic Latin percussion (congas, timbales, bongos) creates a rhythmic base reminiscent of Central American and Afro-Latin genres.
El Palmas plays latin, cumbia, boogaloo - high-energy, rooted in tradition rather than chasing trends.
El Palmas's live sets are high-energy with strong stage presence - consistently engaging, consistently loud.
