Since its birth in Austin, Texas, circa 2017 AD, Elastic Cactus has been forming and experimenting with raw, energetic, twangy, psychedelic rock. Beyond the obvious psychedelic reference, the name Elastic Cactus was inspired by the southwestern roots of founding member Jeremy Minton, and a desire to write music that is familiar but also stretches and bends across many musical genres. The band's Spring 2021 single release of The Honey Dealer begins a stream of singles that they plan to release throughout the year into 2022 and beyond. Currently, the band is peopled by Jeremy Minton (voice, guitar), the rhythmic talents of Dan Watkins (bass, drums) and the musical prowess of Reese Perkins (lead guitar). Former members include Chris Schmitt (drums), Greg Rogers (lead guitar), Ben A (bass), and Randy Kiunke (lead guitar).
