Emma Roijackers (1995, the Netherlands) is a finalist and multiple prize winner of the Oskar Back Competition (2022), where she was awarded the audience prize and the prize for the best performance of the contemporary compulsory work. Also she won the 1st prize at the international “Luigi Zanuccoli” competition in Italy. She graduated with the highest distinction from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam under Ilya Grubert and has refined her artistry in masterclasses with violinists such as Leonidas Kavakos and Jaap van Zweden. Emma has performed at major venues including the Concertgebouw and Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ. Named as one of the young VIRTUOSOS of broadcaster AVROTROS, she recently released her debut. Emma is the founder of her own chamber music festival ‘HearAndNow’ and performs on a violin built by Giovanni Grancino (1700-1705, Milan), made available by an anonymous benefactor.
