An underground, raw folk punk artist.
Armed with naught but an accordion and an unmistakable, roaring baritone, Eric McM brings together a bizarre variety of influences into an almost vaudevillian one-man spectacle that is every bit as frightening and engaging as it is vulnerable and intimate. For fans of Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Gogol Bordello, & Jason Webley. Having spent the last 18 years writing, recording, and touring the US & Europe with bands Carrie Nation & the Speakeasy, Ford Theatre Reunion, Caravan Discordia, and as a solo act, Eric is no stranger to the road. 2025 saw him squeeze his box at 119 shows across 22 states, playing endlessly diverse stages. From punk houses and dive bars, to clubs and theaters, from LA to Berlin, he has shared bills with such acts as Man Man, The Goddamn Gallows, The Dresden Dolls, Faun Fables, Lung, and countless others. He’s always been there, lurking, just at the edges of the underground, trying to keep it from taking itself too seriously.
Eric McM plays an energetic blend of folk-punk and dark cabaret centered around roaring baritone vocals and frantic accordion arrangements.
His live shows are high-octane, vaudevillian one-man spectacles performed across diverse underground stages ranging from dive bars to theaters.
