Essy

Groovy, funky, surprising and versatile. Those are the sounds that define both Essy's DJ sets and her productions. Rooted in a love for warm, energetic grooves, her music blends 90s house, classic funk influences and modern club sounds into something unmistakably her own. With a sharp ear for rhythm and atmosphere, she produces tracks that carry the same feel-good energy as her sets. Her debut EP Bouncin’ on Return To Forever showcases her playful, dancefloor-minded style, while Get Up, Work That, featured on a summer-themed Foresight VA, reveals her versatility and instinct for movement. That instinct comes from experience. Before stepping behind the decks, Rotterdam-based Essy was a dedicated dancer – a perspective she brings to every set and studio session. Whether she’s performing or finishing a track, her focus remains the same: creating an immersive vibe that keeps people moving. You may have seen her behind the decks at Wildeburg, DGTL, Intercell, Lowlands, 909 Festival, Thuishaven or during an ADE show. And with more music on the way, she’s just getting started. Don’t just read about it. Come feel the energy. Join Essy behind the decks at one of her shows, and feel it for yourself.
