Ethel

Ethel is a Paris-born international artist who creates genre-defying music that blurs the lines between indie, ethereal pop and alternative R&B. From a young age, she was immersed in music, growing up in a family of musicians and learning drums early, giving her an instinctive connection to rhythm that pulses through every track. A passionate dancer as well as a singer-songwriter, Ethel treats performance as an extension of her music, crafting immersive live experiences where choreography, sound, and emotion are deeply intertwined. Her sound is shaped by a love of visionary artists like Portishead, Prince, and Solange, blending emotional depth with playful experimentation and a bold visual presence. After exploring London’s vibrant music scene, she returned to Paris to develop a distinctive sonic universe alongside producer Banshee The Great (Doechii, Isaiah Rashad). Together they built a sound that moves fluidly between introspection and exuberance, inviting listeners into a world that is both personal and cinematic.
