Ex-Family is a trio based in London. Treading a fine line between hardcore, emo and noise punk, their music comes from a place of urgency, tenaciously conveying an emotional complexity. Initially conceived as a bedroom project during lockdown, Ex-Family has now expanded into a full band and have gone on to play shows with various up and coming artists such as Humour, Hank and Restless Taxis. ‘Take Me’, their first single, was recorded in the midst of lockdown in a small bedroom in South London and has finally been released via Slowdance Records.
