Fọlákẹ́ made history as the first Nigerian to play a Nigerian character on primetime television in Bob ❤️ Abishola. Her portrayal of Abishola earned critical acclaim, and the show, after its five-season run, is currently in syndication, airing daily in the United States and globally. Expanding her creative horizons, Fọlákẹ́ launched her party anthem “Bobble” on her birthday, demonstrating her versatility. She also stars as Amara in Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King and is featured on the film’s soundtrack, performing “Bye Bye” alongside Mads Mikkelsen. Fọlákẹ́’s music blends afro-beats, rock energy, and highlife-inspired riffs, delivering socially conscious lyrics that explore identity, love, and empowerment. A skilled producer and guitarist, she fuses traditional influences with a modern edge, creating captivating melodies that showcase her fiery passion. In May of 2025, the king of her ancestral home, in Osun State, Nigeria, conferred upon her two special traditional chieftaincy positions, Yèyé Oba and Yèyé Atáyése, making her a titled Chief like her parents before her.
