An underground, nostalgic skate punk act.
Forty37 is a punk rock band from Bremen, founded in 2021. After the break-up of their thrash metal band Skulled, bassist Lennart Ebbers and drummer Tim Dasenbrock were looking for a new musical challenge and turned to punk rock primarily for nostalgic reasons. In Wuiser Gabriel Febres they found a singer and guitarist for whom this genre is not only a matter of the heart, but who had already matured into an absolute professional of this type of music in his home country of Venezuela as the frontman of several punk rock bands (like Primera & Ultima). Together the trio fulfilled their dream of reviving the nostalgia of the late 90s and early 2000s, which were shaped by their teenage heroes from the pop punk scene. The band's first studio album "Parking Lot Anthems" released in spring 2023 represents a wide range of 90s pop punk tunes, skate punk and modern sounds. A nostalgic look back at a better time somewhere inbetween Tony Hawks Pro Skater and American Pie and a look into the future of punk rock. In summer 2023, Gerrit Egbers, who supported the band live on guitar since the first gig, joined. Working with this new influence and fresh ideas the band is currently releasing new music like their new songs VERTIGO, UNTIL WE LEAVE THIS PLACE and the latest release KIND REGARDS.
Forty37 plays energetic skate punk and 90s-inspired pop-punk, reminiscent of classic skate video soundtracks and late 90s melodic punk.
Forty37 is based in Bremen, Germany.
The band consists of Lennart Ebbers, Tim Dasenbrock, Gabriel Febres, and Gerrit Egbers.
