A homegrown, underground maloya act.
Fournèz is a collaborative musical project bridging La Réunion island and the Westhoek, merging traditional maloya and séga rhythms with raw punk rock, electronics, and free improvisation. Formed by Gilles Lauret, Baptiste Clément, and Benjamin Rebolle, the group often collaborates with the Wild Classical Music Ensemble to deliver high-energy, boundary-pushing performances. Their sound captures a deeply human intensity rooted in island heritage and experimental noise.
Fournèz plays an experimental fusion of traditional maloya and séga rhythms from La Réunion combined with punk rock, electronics, and free improvisation, released on Les Disques Bongo Joe.
