Gabriel Dedji

Gabriel Dedji is a writer, curator and musician based in North London. Having been featured on ITV News, BBC Radio London and Press Association for his debut novel- ‘The Escape: A Tale of Change and Revolution’ - at the age of 17, Gabriel entered the creative sphere to rapturous amazement in 2019. Over the past 6 years, this precocious talent has continued to leave an indelible mark upon London’s music, art and academic scenes through improvised jazz performances at the National Portrait Gallery and Soho House; DJ sets at The Roundhouse for Merky Books; panel moderations at The Southbank Centre and University College London; writing contributions for The Bomb Factory and New Currency magazine; and exhibition curations for 180 Strand’s Reference Point and so much more. His prolific catalogue is underpinned by a desire to progressively raise his community's critical awareness. In pursuit of this goal, Less Talking- his creative outlet- works in partnership with Royal Museums Greenwich to provide creative wellbeing support to young people from deprived backgrounds. He also co-leads TheBooksDem, a creative agency showcasing literature from the black diaspora. These initiatives have contributed to a multi-faceted and holistic community ethos, through which Gabriel is able to herald a new generation of innovative minds. His music is an extension of this. His debut EP, Lost Youth Chronicles, will arrive in Autumn 2026: a dance music treatise on hedonism and self-exploration.
