Gamelan Yowana Sari is a distinctive Balinese art ensemble in residence at the Aaron Copland School of Music at CUNY Queens College. Founded in 2011, the group performs authentic traditional Balinese repertoire alongside forward-thinking contemporary compositions. Their unique sound bridges ancient traditions with modern experimental approaches, frequently integrating electric instruments and innovative percussion works.
