Montreal-born Haitian-Canadian artist based in Lisbon. Making jazzy-house with Afro-Latinx spices so you can make out with your crush. Highly influenced by the LA beat scene of 2007-2018 and the broken break / bruk movement in mid-90s in West London. She released her debut LP ''Mascarade'' on Rhythm Section International and was short-listed for the Polaris Music Prize in 2023. Laurent Garnier said ''ELEGANT ALBUM'', played by Jamz Supernova and Gilles Peterson on BB6 Radio 6. Listed in DJ Mag's best album 2023. Named one of the best women DJs in Kobini's 100 list. Gayance (real name Aïsha Vertus) takes her alias from the Haitian Creole word for joyfulness. Since the past decade she has been tearing down Dekmantel, Lowlands Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival, POP Montreal, HORST Festival, Maracujalia Festival, WE OUT HERE, Polifonic Festival and Milkshake Festival. Places like Fabric London, Panorama Bar, Djoon Paris, Doka Amsterdam and Jazz Cafe London.
