Giorgos Paterakis String Theory
An underground experimental artist.
George Paterakis was born in Athens. He studied composition under Yannis A. Papaioannou, graduated the Athens Conservatory (piano class) and continued his studies at the Royal Academy of London (class Philip Fowke), and the Liszt Ferenc Music Academy, Budapest (class - Kornel Zempleni, Marta Gulyas). Leading a solo career as a pianist until 2007, he gradually turned to composition and conducting. In 2011 founded the String Theory, an experimental and rather unconventional music group which gradually evolved to a music platform formed by a vocal quartet, various instrumental ensembles and three mixed choirs.
