An underground funk rock act.
Go-Machine are a power funk project out of Austin, TX. The seed for the group was planted when guitarist Dave Orr moved to Austin from Brisbane, Australia in 2020. By Fall of 2021, Dave was doing dozens of gigs around town with his new-found trio consisting of drummer Marshall Kummer, and bassist Ry Dill. It quickly became apparent to all three members that they had tapped into something greater than the sum of its parts. Encouraged by the slew of new material they had written, the group began seeking out a fourth piece. Enter keyboardist Marcell Coleman. From the very first notes they played together, the four of them knew they had found the sound of Go-Machine. They wasted no time heading down to the legendary Bud's Recording Services to get it on tape with the help of engineer Sam Patlove. The result of those sessions is a most inspired batch of adventurous recordings that capture the fervor and intensity of a new band with something to show the world. The best is yet to come. Look for the singles in 2024.
