An underground indie rock artist.
Grimson is a music and animation project by Swedish-American songwriter and filmmaker Aiden Berglund. A NYC native, Aiden began learning the drums from Bush Tetras drummer and family-friend Dee Pop, later switching instruments to fill spots in a revolving door of teenage bands in Brooklyn's DIY music scene. Grimson's music and art draws influence from indie-rock titans like Grizzly Bear, Elliott Smith, and Radiohead, as well as from films and graphic novels such as Spirited Away, The Point, Tin Tin, and Moomins. Aiden's background in illustration and animation eventually lent itself to Grimson's unique music-videos and digital artworks, which have won film-festival awards internationally. Grimson is currently based in Los Angeles.
Grimson plays melodic chamber pop and indie rock infused with whimsical storytelling and intricate arrangements.
Grimson creates hand-animated music videos and digital artworks that have won international film festival awards.
