Guipago Dreams
An underground alt country act.
Tracks3
Guipago Dreams is a new Alt-Country/Experimental Folk act based in New York City. With brand new arrangements and vocals by Jacob Thomas Carr, their first full length album is a complete reimagining of the classic Townes Van Zandt record "Our Mother the Mountain." Shannon Helene Barnes contributes lead and background vocals. Nick Anton is producing and plays guitars, bass, harmonica, and drums. With a sound that some have described as "Johnny Cash meets Fiona Apple," Guipago Dreams weaves driving roots style rhythms over a southern gothic soundscape. Special guest appearances by some of New York's finest including Michael Brinzer on woodwinds. Mastering by Marian Villota. The first single from the project, "Snake Mountain Blues", will stream on 10.31.23. Find them on the web: www.guipagodreams.com
