An underground indie rock act.
Hester is a four-piece band that transforms alternative indie-rock ballads into wondrous paintings. Their soft-activistic cinematic music is a testimony that softness and strength go hand in hand. With nature inspired sounddesign, singing grooves and intense vocal dynamics, they showcase how grieving music can be uplifting and empowering. Hester captures something between light and dark. Between modern and old. Between renewal and decay. Hester emmerged from singer Damian Bosch's solo work and was founded in late 2023, with guitarplayer Berend Jak (Berend), bassist Konstantin Schreiber (Lovely Lad) and drummer Sam O'Connell. With a swift surge to opportunity, they played their first tour in 2025, supporting Beach Weather and gaining a national following. Their first release "Everything Is Coin" was celebrated in a sold out Tivoli Vredenburg in Utrecht in januari 2026. Their first EP is expected to release in late 2026. "Softness as a means of resistance"
