An underground stoner rock artist.
The Fierce and The Dead return in September 2026 with Regional Theatre, their fifth studio album and the second to feature bassist Kevin Feazey as lead vocalist and their first as a 5-piece with keyboard player, vocalist and percussionist Tom Hunt. Formed in London over 16 years ago as an instrumental band, the group have gradually evolved into one of the UK underground's most distinctive alternative rock acts, blending noise-rock, post-rock, shoegaze, analogue electronics and big riffs. Drawing inspiration from Talk Talk, Pixies, Mogwai, Black Sabbath and the experimental edges of British guitar music, Regional Theatre pushes further into emotional directness while retaining the band's love of repetition, tension, noise and atmosphere. Written following years of DIY touring, multiple releases and the disconnection of modern British life, the record explores collapse, burn-out, ageing, and the breakdown of reality online. Over the last 16 years, the band have built a loyal international following through word of mouth, critically acclaimed records and intense live performances. Their previous release, News From The Invisible World, was named one of 2023's best albums by Prog Magazine and Classic Rock Magazine, while the band's live reputation has seen headline UK tours sell out months in advance. They have appeared at festivals across the UK, Europe and the US, including ArcTanGent, Portals and Freak Valley, and have toured alongside Hawkwind amongst others.
The Fierce & the Dead blend noise-rock, post-rock, and shoegaze with progressive and stoner rock elements, known for their critically acclaimed album News From The Invisible World.
