An underground vocal jazz act.
Based in Brescia, Italy, this jazz quintet brings together four voices and a double bass to create a distinctive and refined sound. The group features Ilaria Tengatini (contralto), Giorgia Gusmini and Elena Troiano (mezzo-sopranos), Chiara Bertelli (soprano), and Giacomo Ferrari on double bass. Their repertoire combines original compositions with unique reinterpretations of jazz standards, featuring arrangements by Ilaria Tengatini, Giacomo Ferrari and M° Corrado Guarino. At the heart of the project is a desire to highlight vocal expression in jazz, placing the voice at the center of the stage. Through intricate harmonies—where the four voices blend like a Big Band horn section—and the personal improvisational touch of each singer, the ensemble explores the full spectrum of vocal jazz, enriched by the warm, resonant presence of the double bass.
