Giovanni Jaël Jano, globally known as JAEL, is a Moluccan recording artist, producer, DJ, and vocalist from The Netherlands. Raised on Moluccan Folk, Gospel, Soul, and Electronic music, his sound blends rich heritage with forward-thinking, genre-defying production. With tours across the USA, South Africa, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, he continues to expand his worldwide reach. Beyond the stage, JAEL curates his “JAEL Invites” series and hosts all-night-long sets in Amsterdam, London, and New York. He previously hosted CAROUSEL JAEL on Rinse FM and returned in 2025 with a new monthly show. His work has been featured on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, and Mixmag named him one of the “Top 25 DJs Who Defined the Year” in 2023. His debut album Half as Much (2021) and releases like “Nancy Junglist”, “Quebra A Cama” and his Fatima Yamaha remix showcase his evolving electronic sound. With his 2025 EP “Motion Sickness”, JAEL continues to push boundaries as a global, genre-defying artist.
