An underground drone artist.
Jan Kleefstra is a Dutch poet and ambient artist renowned for his evocative spoken-word performances set against minimalist drone and neoclassical soundscapes. Collaborating closely with musicians like his brother Romke Kleefstra, Machinefabriek, and various ensemble projects such as IT DEEL, he crafts deeply atmospheric sonic journeys rooted in Frisian poetry and nature. His work explores the fragile relationship between land, water, and human perception through raw, immersive audio textures.
