Jiří Trtík is a Czech composer, conductor, and pianist who received the OSA Award for the most successful Czech composer of classical music outside of the Czech Republic (2021). Jiří is a founder and artistic director of STRO.MY Ensemble which is based on an innovative approach to music and site-specific performances, often incorporating visual and performative elements. Jiří also received a number of commissions and performances from world-class performers and ensembles, such as the National Theatre in Prague, Kremerata Baltica, Janaček Philharmonic Ostrava, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Grammy Award-winning Cleveland Chamber Symphony. His works have been performed in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Latvia, United States, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Poland, France, Italy, and Japan.
