A high-energy, underground indie rock act.
Comprised of David Achter de molen (vocals), Alfred van Luttikhuizen (guitars), Christoffer van Teijlingen (guitars), Richard van Luttikhuizen (bass) and Carsten Brunsveld (drums), John Coffey’s style of punk and rock ’n roll is, and always has been, a conductor for energy. A release mechanism applied to songs and live shows where the band and crowd coalesced in a harmonious loop of unified chaos. Six years after their last dying notes, they are now back: with new songs, new shows, a new album in the summer and a lot of pent-up energy! From Russia to America and countless clubs and festivals in Europe. In September 2016 it all stopped when John Coffey stepped off the stage indefinitely. What followed was a time where the five band members wanted to create space for new ideas. At the end of 2020 the drive that had always brought them together arose again: the uncontrollable urge to be on a stage, to turn venues upside down and to carry the crowds away. David: 'Sometimes it can just be very simple. There is nothing cooler than making music with these guys again and standing on stage. The fact that it took us five years to be in a room together again only gives us more irrepressible energy.'
