An underground country rock act from the local scene.
Jon Kott Band is a Texas-based country rock band built on honest songwriting, big guitars and a sound that refuses to stay in one lane. Rooted in Texas country and southern rock with a heavy dose of the 2000s rock they grew up on, JKB blends gritty guitar-driven songs with melodies made to be sung back from the crowd. The result lives somewhere between a Texas dance hall and a rock show — and the live show leans into both. Years on the road have taken the band through bars, dance halls, casinos and festivals across Texas and the South, building a reputation around energetic live shows and songs about life, mistakes, miles traveled and figuring things out along the way. It’s Texas songwriting with the amps turned up.
