Jorian van Nee
Pianist, composer, and improviser Jorian van Nee (b. 1999) is a defining voice of a new generation of classical musicians. Known for his "unorthodox" interpretations and a rare ability to bridge the gap between historical mastery, contemporary creation and improvisation, Van Nee is a versatile storyteller through sound. Educated at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam under Frank Peters, Jorian’s artistry is shaped by a dual mastery of performance and composition. A multi-award winner at the Prinses Christina Concours and the Young Pianist Foundation, he has performed with the Residentie Orkest and frequently appears on national television, including Podium Klassiek. As a 2025 AVROTROS VIRTUOOS laureate, Jorian recently released a debut album featuring his own works alongside the classical canon. Whether performing as a soloist or collaborating with partners in chamber music, he remains a highly sought-after musician who fearlessly explores the boundaries of the piano repertoire.
